The voice that holds your evening together.

Wedding Emcee & Anchor

An emcee is the only vendor your guests hear all night. Ours rehearse your family names, pronounce them right, and know when to speak and when to get out of the way.

What does a wedding emcee actually do?

A wedding emcee hosts your function from the stage — welcoming guests, running the schedule, introducing families, cueing the DJ and lighting, and keeping energy up between rituals. INAI emcees work bilingually in Tamil and English, script every segment with you beforehand, and start from ₹18,000 per function in Tamil Nadu.

What you get

Included in the price.

  • A pre-event briefing call to learn your family, your story and your running order
  • A written, shared run-sheet — every segment timed to the minute
  • Bilingual hosting in Tamil and English, switching to suit the room
  • Correct pronunciation of every name announced, rehearsed in advance
  • Live coordination with your DJ, photographer, lighting and caterer
  • Games and audience segments tailored to your crowd, not a generic script
  • Arrival 90 minutes before guests, in formal or traditional attire as you prefer

Not included — so there are no surprises

  • Sound system, microphones and stage monitors (bundled if you book our DJ)
  • Travel and stay beyond 100 km from our four base cities
  • Overtime past the booked window, charged hourly and agreed on the night

How it works

From first call to the day itself.

Brief

A 30-minute call where we learn the families, the order of events and the tone you want.

Script

We send a written run-sheet with names, timings and cues. You edit it until it reads right.

Rehearse

Names are practised out loud. Nobody hears their surname mangled on the microphone.

Host

We arrive 90 minutes early, sync with your DJ and photographer, and run the evening.

The difference

What makes this different from the quote next to ours.

A written run-sheet you can see and change before the day, not a script improvised on stage.

Names rehearsed in advance — a small thing that families remember for years.

One point of contact for emcee, DJ and photography, so nobody is waiting for a cue that never comes.

Questions

Wedding Emcee, answered.

A professional bilingual wedding emcee in Tamil Nadu costs between ₹18,000 and ₹45,000 per function. Rates rise with event length, travel distance and whether you need sound equipment bundled. Celebrity and television anchors are priced separately, typically from ₹75,000 upward.

Yes. Every INAI emcee hosts fluently in both Tamil and English and moves between them mid-sentence to suit the room. This matters at Tamil Nadu weddings where elders follow Tamil and younger guests and outstation relatives follow English.

Book six to eight weeks ahead for an ordinary date, and three to four months ahead for a peak muhurtham date. Tamil Nadu concentrates weddings into a handful of auspicious days, so good emcees are gone early on those dates.

Yes, and it is usually cheaper than booking two. A same-day muhurtham plus reception is billed as a full day rather than two functions. The emcee already knows the families by the evening, which noticeably improves the reception.

Indian weddings run late; we plan for it. The run-sheet carries buffer, and the emcee stays through reasonable overrun. Overtime past the booked window is charged hourly at a rate agreed in writing before the event, never as a surprise on the invoice.
